Today I am looking at the new AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU. This is AMD's new high-end processor running at 3.2GHz. The part carries a very low MSRP that puts it in line with mid-range Intel parts in costs and performance.

The performance from the 955 is impressive and the CPU will be great for those looking to build a PC with good performance without breaking the bank. The CPU supports DDR3 AM3 and AM2+ mainboards.

Review excerpt: "Today I am checking out the new AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU. This is the new top of the line CPU from AMD for gamers and those looking for outright AMD performance at a good price. Not so long ago I looked at the Phenom II X4 940 so I will be comparing the two parts to see how much the performance has improved. Read on for the details on the AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE."
