An Acer UK marketing director let slip the company’s all-in-one Z5600 will come preloaded with Windows 7when it ships on October 23rd, according to a report from Pocket lint.
The report quotes Bobby Watkins, the loose-lipped MD as saying, "23rd October is the date the Windows 7 will be available. There is a 30 day upgrade time so that customers don't wait to buy a new computer, so if you buy during that 30 day period, you'll get a free upgrade to Windows 7."
No official word has come down from Microsoft about the OS’s release date, though the Redmond-based tech giant has announced a May 5th release date for Windows 7 RC 1, putting an October release date well within reach.
Microsoft has said in the past that Windows 7 would be available Q1 2010.
