New App Lets iPhone Print to any Epson Printer

There have been more than a few times when I wanted to print something from my iPhone to a printer nearby. Epson has announced a new app for the iPhone that lets users print to any Epson printer directly from the smartphone.

The app is called the EuroSmartz Print & Share app that allows users to print photos, business documents, PDF files, web pages, email, and more. The application will work for both the iPhone and the iPod touch.

The app will also allow users to print photos taken with their iPhone through a wireless network to Epson photo printers. You might think that expanding the functionality of an Epson printer would be reward enough for the manufacturer, but I guess not. The application is $6.99 on the App Store. I don’t need to print often enough to justify the cost myself. This should have been a free app.
