Green Energy Technologies has unveiled a new power generation unit that makes electricity from wind power. The device is called the WindCube and is capable of generating 60kW of rooftop power for commercial and industrial applications. The turbine captures and amplifies wind and can be installed in single 60kW or dual 120kW configurations.

The wind turbine measures 22 x 22 x 12 feet and has a traditional turbine with blades 50 feet in diameter. The WindCube uses the Bernoulli Principal to generate electricity from the wind by concentrating the wind using the shroud.

The design of the WindCube allows the system to capture wind and produce energy in winds as low as 5 mph. The device qualifies for federal stimulus funds that will offset up to 30% of the costs of installing the system in a tax credit.
