Hate short battery lives? Then the Nokia E52 might be the phone for you. Nokia announced the release of this new phone today. Its battery boasts an incredible eight hours of call time, or more than 23 days of standby time without needing a charge.
What's coolest about this new Nokia is how tiny it looks. Admittedly, it's not the most gizmo-laden phone out there, and the E52 certainly won't satisfy any smartphone owner. But it is still a very thin phone, considering the amount of battery power it boasts. I'm thinking this would make a great emergency phone for anyone who wants to have something capable of lasting a long time without power.
The fact that the E52 is sparse on features doesn't mean it's totally devoid of cool stuff. It's got a GPS, and a 3.2 megapixel camera in there, making me think it's an even more perfect choice for a disaster or wilderness survival phone. Of course, if you just want a phone that won't run out of juice on you, the E52 is also a cool option. Although we're not sure we'd give up Internet access for a fancy huge battery.
