Android G1 users are in for a few nice surprises today when they update their phones firmware. The 1.5 update brings with it video filming, a better designed messaging service, and a new looking Gmail service.
HTC Magic, the latest android handset released last Friday has all these fantastic new features straight from the box.I have just updated my handset and it was done in a flash, not like updating my iphone. The new feature for recording video is called 'Camcorder' and it is very simple and straight forward to use. I really like the fact that i can now share my videos with friends and family by using send by Gmail, SMS or YouTube. I'm going to become a bit of a YouTube freak posting lots of video.
Messaging now has the option of an on-screen keyboard which is really handy if you don't want to use the normal keyboard and predictive text works really well.I'm going to continue to play with it and I'll update the post as I find new things out.
