A new feature of the iPhone 2009 that we all expect to drop in early June has been apparently confirmed with screen-shots on BGR.
The iPhone OS 3.0 screenshots show options to configure a Compass. This would mean that the new iPhone would have a magnetometer built-in.
Having a compass apart from the GPS makes navigation more powerful and easier to use. This rumored (almost confirmed if screenshots are real, and why shouldn't they) feature might not be as exciting as the whole rumored Video Camera feature set of the new iPhone 2009, but definitely nice to have.
