Great news for the netbook crowd. Asus just announced that their highly anticipated T91 will be launching in the UK within the next month. The new convertible touchscreen notebooks are set to retail for 449 euros and hit stores no later than June.
The Asus is a netbook with a nine-inch touchscreen monitor that can be swiveled around to create a full touchpad. The T91 is the first "next generation" netbook, although several other companies are deep into development of their own touch-capable netbooks. I think that touchscreen netbooks are definitely where the future of the product lays. We won't have to wait long for the T91 to have some competitors on the market.
There's been no information yet as to when the T91 will launch in the U.S., but I don't think we'll be waiting very long. I'm expecting to see this in the U.S. by Fall.
