As rumored earlier this week Verizon Wireless will launch a subsidized netbook with 3G data service on May 17th.
The HP Mini 1151NR will be available for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and new 2-year activation on a Mobile Broadband plan.
The specifications of the HP Mini 1151NR include 10.1 inch LED screen, 80GB HDD, Atom N270, 1GB RAM, and 3 cell battery.
Overall the first Verizon netbook doesn't have the greatest specifications and the $199.99 price is actually not that tempting. I would rather look and compare data plans and get a netbook I actually want before jumping on the Verizon 3G netbook deal.
