The geeks over at ITProPortal have put together a list of what they think are the top six netbook bargains in the UK. Netbooks are very popular right now with many consumers opting for a netbook rather than a full notebook to save money and get more portability.
The top six picks are the Asus Eee PC 900 at £169.99, Dell InspironMini 10v at £199, Compaq Mini 702EA for £249, Advent 4211 at £199.99, EPC MiniBook at £119.99, and the 7-inch Eee PC for £99.97.
Most of the cheapest netbooks forgo Windows in favor of Linux, which means those shopping on the cheap may have a learning curve. Many would rather spend more and get Windows on their machines for compatibility with software and better familiarity with the OS.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
