Tritton Technologies, makers of high-quality surround-sound gaming headsets, are going to be unveiling two brand new offerings at E3 this year. You may know Tritton for their very solid AX Pro, a 5.1 surround sound audio headset. At E3 they'll be expanding the AX line even further, with the AX 720 and AX 400 models.
The AX 720 features Dolby Headphone technology, inline audio controls, and an independent chat volume control. It will come with USB microphone support for the PS3, PC, and Mac, plus voice compatibility with Xbox LIVE and special iPhone and MP3 player cable attachments. On the whole, the 720 sounds like a very solid package.
We'll also see the new AX 400 at E3. The 400 is more than likely going to end up being the budget model of this new line. It's identical to the 720, but it lacks in-line audio control and is supposed to go "further with Wii compatibility and freedom from wires."
In addition to unveiling two new products at E3, Tritton will also be letting attendees test their products in the "Tritton Challenge". They will put their entire line-up against "the competition's" top products and let participants decide which headset manufacturer makes the better product. So, if you're going to be at E3 make sure to check out the Tritton Challenge for your chance to be a part of one of the less boring examples of market research in the world.
