According to well informed sources it has been stated that the next iphone could possibly be kitted out with a new processor that would dramatically improve it's speed and function.

Currently the iphone uses a 400 MHz processor and it is believed that the new iphone will have a 600 MHz one, that's 1.5 times faster speed. This will make launching app's a lot faster and also switching between app's a lot quicker to. Ram could also be increased to 256 MB up from the current 128 MB, this to will help performance.Prices are expected to stay the same at $199 and $299 for the 16GB and 32GB respectively. And i hope that the rumours of an improved camera and video recording are correct. Not to o fussed about a compass because I don't believe I'll ever be stranded in a desert or somewhere lost on an island.

I think the video recording possibility along with an auto-focus lens will be a big thing that Apple will push, It's already been mentioned that video-editing will be able to be done on the phone and this used with something like imovie could turn the iphone into something like a 'Flip style' video recording device. If the camera is good, and i reckon it will be then i see big things for this and as we all know Apple have a great way of advertising features of their products and making them stand out so video recording/editing is going to be big, mark my words!.
