We reported on a rumor about the new Apple Back To School deals the other day and now Apple has made them official. This year if you are a college student or a faculty or staff member at any grade level and you buy a new Mac before September 8th, you can get a free iPod touch.
This is the same deal as last year. You basically get a $229 rebate, which gets you the 8GB iPod touch.
The rumored iPhone Back To School deal did not materialize.
