NVIDIA announces that 12 new high definition mobile internet devices (MIDs) powered by NVIDIA Tegra debut at COMPUTEX 2009.
This sounds great until we get to the list of manufactures of these new Tegra MIDs. The list does not include a major player. NVIDIA lists Compal Communications, ICD Ultra, Inventec Applications Corp., Mobinnova, Pegatron and Wistron. I only heard about Wistron in the past. The NVIDIA Tegra platform sounds really good, but I am still not holding a powerful $99 MID in my hands. NVIDIA highlights that Tegra powered MIDs allow you to listen to music for 25 days straight on one charge, watch 1080p HD video for up to 10 hours, and play video games at 46 frames per second.
Via this NVIDIA announcement. Update: Booth Babes show off Tegra MIDs.
