Asus unveiled the O!Play HDP-R1 HD Media Player. Asus highlights support for a variety of media formats, Music Shuffle feature, and ultra-fast eSATA interface in this new 1080p media player.
Features of the Asus O!Play HDP-R1 HD Media Player include MPEG1/2/4, H.264, VC-1, RM/RMVB, .mp4, .mov, .xvid., .avi., .dvix., .asf, .wmv, .mkv, .rm, .rmvb, .flv, .ts, .m2ts, .dat, .mpg, .vob video format support, MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, WAV, FLAC, AIFF audio support, JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF image support, HDMI, Composite Audio/Video, Optical Digital Audio, USB2.0, eSATA/USB2.0 combo port, and RJ-45 LAN port.
The HDP-R1 is the first in the O!Play Series, which means there are more to come. Which also means Asus has set its eyes onto the living room. Acer is already there with the Acer Aspire Revo.
