Google unveiled 6 days ago Google Wave. The video from the Google IO conference featuring Google Wave has been watched already close to 1.6 million times on Youtube (see video below). This number is pretty impressive as this is just a developer preview. I think it shows though that we are totally fed up with Email, IM, and how distributed/disconnected online communication has gotten these days.
Google Wave promises a much more organized and comprehensive take on online communication. If Google also manages to keep out spam, Google Wave is the future of how we communicate. I hope the iPhone Google Wave interface is coming along nicely too.
Google Wave is supposed to be released later this year. More details on the Google Wave site. CNET already got their hands on the current preview of Google Wave and published a hands-on review.
