Yesterday Apple announced that MMS and Tethering are a go with the new iPhone OS 3.0. Only issue for US iPhone customers is AT&T as they do not support both features when they launch on June 17th.
BoyGeniusReport says that they heard from a source AT&T will need until late Summer to release MMS on the iPhone. Apparently they have an issue with manually removing Opt Out MMS codes.
For the iPhone tethering AT&T is apparently in the process of preparing a $70/month unlimited data and tethering plan.
Was AT&T surprised by the June launch of the new iPhone 3G S and iPhone OS 3.0? To outsiders it appears that way.
