It's no iPhone 3GS, but the Nokia N97 has managed to attract its fair share of attention over the last few months. It's not hard to see why; the N97 is a sexy, well-designed smartphone with some very impressive hardware in it. A 640x360 folding touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera, 32GB of storage and S60 5th Edition all come together to create a solid package.
If reading everything I just typed has you salivating, than the Nokia N97 might be the phone for you. And, guess what, it's out for sale today! We just heard that the N97 is out now in selected Nokia flagship stores. That's pretty awesome news, but somewhat less awesome is the expected retail price: $699.99
That's right; 700 bucks for a new Nokia. If that sounds just the teeniest bit pricey then congratulations, you are sane. I'm not sure who has the money these days to shell out seven hundred dollars for a smartphone (especially since equivalent smartphones cost about 1/3rd of that with a cell plan), but if you can afford it the N97 is a pretty awesome looking piece of tech.
