You think because the new iPhone 3G S is official that the rumors about the new iPhone 2009 would be over. Well there are more rumors as not everything about the new iPhone 3G on speed is known yet.
AppleInsider makes the case around information from their sources that the new iPhone 3G S has the PowerVR SGX graphics processor core that can run OpenGL ES 2.0. The OpenGL ES 2.0 offers 3D games more performance. It is not clear yet how iPhone Games would be affected by this. Will there be two versions of games in the App Store? One version that runs better on iPhone 3G S and one for original and iPhone 3G? Or can a game switch internally to use the graphics features available.
On June 19th the first iPhone 3G S will be ripped a part by someone and we will know what is inside.
