Sony's new Xperia handset has leaked just a little bit, and now we have a clear image of the upcoming X2 to go with all of our rumors and spec lists. The X2 is one of new smartphones that Ericsson is betting on to revitalize their flagging mobile phone sales. It's got a special, customized version of Windows 6.5 that (supposedly) will have the X2 running as fast as an iPhone.

The X2 also has an awesome 8.1 megapixel auto-focusing camera, a 3.5” OLED display, a GPS, accelerometer, and 512 MB of RAM. The Xperia panels on the X2 can support an upgrade to Windows Mobile 7, as well as connect remotely to your PlayStation 3. All in all, the Xperia X2 is one of the coolest new smartphones coming out.

Whether or not it can live up to its spec list is another question. No release date or price has been given yet, but details should be out soon. Boy Genius thinks we'll see the X2 hit the market some time before Windows Mobile 9 comes out.
