Verizon Wireless has announced that it is now offering the new Motorola Rival mobile phone to its customers. The handset is designed for quick and easy messaging and access to Verizon features like V CAST Music, Video, Visual voice Mail, and VZ Navigator.

The handset is offered in tin silver or purple colors and features a slider design with a full QWERTY keyboard. The handset also offers a touch dial pad, IM text chat window, one touch email access and more.

A 2MP camera is built in and the phone has a 3.5mm headset jack with up to 8 GB of memory via an optional microSD card. The handset is available now online and in stores for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. These companies are going to need to drop prices after AT&T gets the $99 iPhone.
