iPhone 3G S are not arriving early, Apple holds them back

Buy iPhone 3G S from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

Yesterday reports about early iPhone 3G S deliveries appeared. Now Apple told UPS according to user reports on Engadget to delay the shipments of the iPhone 3G S to arrive on June 19th and not earlier.
This is kind of disappointing for those who have seen an earlier shipping date for their new toy on the package tracking system.
Apple seems to want to keep it fair to those who rather go to a shop on Friday to pick up their iPhone 3G S.
I ordered mine yesterday with T-Mobile here in Germany over the phone. Apparently it is supposed to arrive Saturday with secured mail.
T-Mobile has a nice deal for the iPhone 3G S. The 16GB version costs me about 40 Euros (~$55) with a 2 year contract that has a monthly fee of 60 Euros (~$83). For the first 6 months they give me a 20 Euros (~$27) rebate on the monthly rate and then I get 5 (~$7) Euros rebate because I am also a DSL customer with T-Mobile.
