British Library has put 200 million pages of newspaper print online with a new service designed to allow users to access papers going back 200 years. The service has pages from local and regional rags from the 19th and early 20th century.

Among the names that some may recognize from todays newsstands are the Glasgow Herald, Northern Echo, and Western Mail. The service isn’t free and users can pay as they use the service.

Users can search the website at no cost but downloading pages costs £6.99 per day with 100 downloads included or £9.99 for 200 downloads good for a week.
