The iPhone OS 3.0 update came out yesterday and today lots of applications on the App Store are being updated to take advantage of the new OS functionality. Freeverse Flick Fishing is one of the apps getting updated to take advantage of the 3.0 update.

The new version of the game offers an in-app purchase feature for content like a new game location, fish, and a new game mode. The new game mode is called Fish Jack and uses the peer-to-peer connectivity feature of the game.

The peer-to-peer connectivity feature lets users challenge each other to the new Fish Jack mode where players have to catch fish to a target weight without going over. The closest to the target weight goal is a winner.
