One of the nice things about being a T-Mobile customer (other than the sweet, sweet G1) is the Unlimited Loyalty plan. If you are a long-term active customer who pays his bills on time you can become eligible for the special plan, which includes $50/month for unlimited minutes, and $25/month for unlimited data. It's a really fantastic deal, and I suspect it's kept a lot of T-Mobile customers from switching over to other carriers.
Unfortunately, it's coming to an end very shortly. We've just heard that T-Mobile will be ending the Unlimited Loyalty plan as an active promotion at the end of June. That means it's still open for new signers now, but if you don't get on board fast you're going to be SOL when the promotion ends. Users currently on the plan have nothing to worry about.
I can't say this move comes as unexpected. It was a really great deal-too great of a deal to stick around for very long. T-Mobile still has to make a profit, after all. With any luck they'll give the plan another try in a year or two and give some of their newer customers a chance to benefit. Even if they don't, a new promotion can't be very far away.
