Tele Atlas HD Traffic Delivers Real-time Information

Tele Atlas HD Traffic has been unveiled by navigation software provider Tele Atlas. The new software provides real time navigational and location based services to industries and is the first service that provides live traffic info from multiple sources.

The data is gathered from anonymous GPS measurements from the navigation devices of users in the field and mobile phone signals along with road sensors and journalistic data. The software merges the information and makes it available in real time to customers on their navigation devices.

The service is able to deliver live congestion information, accurate traffic jam positioning, fast and highly frequent updates, road speeds, length and location data. The HD traffic service is available immediately for Tele Atlas partners.
