The laptops get a new typing surface that is flat and has a matte black finish and some models get an illuminated keyboard for typing in low light environments. The standard touchpad on all models gets gesture and multi touch support.
Accelerometers are used in some of the updated models to protect the hard drive from damage during falls and a slot loading DVD drive is now featured that offers LabelFlash technology. The notebooks now also offer sleep and charge USB ports that allow phones and other USB charging devices to get power when the computer is turned off. The new models are available for purchase now.
