Pandora: Coming to Android Soon

By its own definition, Pandora is a “personalized Internet radio service that helps you find new music based on your old and current favorites.” Right now there are Pandora applications for the iPhone, the Palm Pre, BlackBerry smartphones and phones with the Windows Mobile operating system. Conspicuously absent from that list are any Android smartphones.

Some of you may remember Pandora CTO Tom Conrad's attack on Android during a TechCrunch roundtable discussion. Although he took back his harsh words immediately afterwards, it was assumed that Android users were going to have to wait awhile for a Pandora app.

Not so, apparently. Pandora for Android is coming. The Pandora team is currently hard at work adapting their product for use with the Android OS. There's no set due date yet, but at least we know it's finally in development.
