Google Maps is a cool app and all, but it isn't nearly as convenient (or as safe) as having an actual turn-by-turn satellite navigation application. For a while now, we Android fans have been left in the cold when it comes to good navigation apps, but our day has finally arrived. The CoPilot Live application from CoPilot launches today.
With CoPilot Live you get turn-by-turn voice navigation with online location mapping and your choice of either 2D or 3D guidance views. CoPilot can optimize your trip to find the most efficient route, and it also has an instant detour feature in case of traffic or unexpected closures. If you like what you hear, you can download CoPilot Live from the Android Marketplace today. It costs £25.99 in the U.K and Ireland, and £59.99 in Europe.
When we'll get a full turn-by-turn app in the U.S is anybody's guess. Personally, I'm tired of having to switch between looking at my phone and looking at the road to get anywhere. A real navigation app can't hit the States soon enough.
