Palm Pre Set for UK Launch by Christmas

The Palm Pre is set to hit stores in the UK in time for holiday shopping this year. Telefonica, parent company to O2 has announced that it has signed the exclusive rights to the Pre for the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Spain.

The same company also has the exclusive to the iPhone 3GS in the same areas. It is believed that the iPhone exclusive for the company may end this summer though.

Palm has been mum on actual sales figures of the pre in the US, but estimates are than about 300,000 of the devices have been sold in the weeks since the Pre launched in America. Analysts believe that the Pre supply and demand in the US is at a point of equilibrium.
