Acer was among the first computer makers that started to talk about putting Android onto a netbook. According to a Chinese newspaper called Apple Daily an Acer netbook with a dual boot OS is set to launch in August.

The machine will run Android and Windows XP and little is known about the hardware. The netbook will most likely be more expensive than XP only netbooks since Acer will have to install Android on the device as well.

If you have been thinking about an Android netbook, but didn’t want to be stuck with one if you didn’t like lit, this may be the machine to own. Acer won’t be the only PC company launching Android netbooks, but it may be the only one to do so this year.
