Blackberry and 7Digital have announced a partnership that will have the two team up for a Blackberry mobile music store. The move is undoubtedly to help Blackberry compete better against the iPhone and iTunes store.

The new download store will be offered as an application download on the Blackberry Apps World store starting in September. The store will have six million tracks and will be available in the US, Germany, UK, Canada, Spain, and France.

Most of the tracks on the service are reportedly going to sell for 79p and albums will be priced at £7.99. All tracks will be DRM-free and allow users to transfer tracks to their MP3 player or PC at their choice.
