The hottest smartphone in development right now is definitely the Sony Ericsson 'Rachael'. With a 1GHz snapdragon processor, a 4” touchscreen, and an 8 megapixel camera, Rachael is set up to be the first real powerhouse Android smartphone. Now Google's open-source OS finally has a phone that can equal the iPhone pound-for-pound. Rachael is also big news for Sony Ericsson; this is their chance to jump back to the top of the mobile industry with a real bang.
Most of Rachael's specs remain a mystery for now, but thanks to GSM Arena we have a bunch of new snapshots of Ericsson's baby. We also have confirmation that customers who want a Rachael will be able to choose between white and black models.
There's not much new news in these pictures, but hopefully Ericsson's PR people will start feeding us some substantial information again soon. They can't keep leaking pictures and hope to keep our interest forever.
