We already mentioned that pre-orders for Windows 7 started today and if the pre-order sales are any indication Microsoft has a winner on its hands. Windows 7 sold more copies in its first eight hours of pre-order sales than vista did for its entire 17 week pre-order run.
That is a very impressive feat and shows that consumers have more confidence in windows 7 than they did with Vista. The pre-order copies will be shipped on October 22, the same day the Os goes on sale in stores.
Analysts predict that 50 million copies of Windows 7 will be installed in Europe by 2010. By the end of the year, 177 million copies will be installed globally. The European version will not ship with Internet Explorer on the OS disc.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
