The netbook boom has been very good to Acer. Their PC market share has grown by half in the last year, and they're already about to roll out a whole new product line. This time, their sights are set on the mobile phone market instead. They've got nine new smartphones heading down the pipeline, and one of those smartphones (the A1) runs on Android.
A report from Digitimes states that four of those new smartphones will be hitting stores in 2009. One of them, expected out as early as September, is the A1. The remaining smartphones are Windows Mobile devices. We know for a fact that one of them, the F1, will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. None of the other specs have been leaked.

I'll tell you this much; Acer's new smartphone is definitely in the running with the Rachael for 'sexiest Android phone'.
