Toshiba has now decided if you can’t beat them, join them, and will be offering a Blu-ray player to the movie loving public in time for Holiday shipping. The company plans to launch a Blu-ray player before the end of 2009.
Toshiba might be able to use some of the tech it designed for its HD DVD players to make its line of Blu-ray players the best on the market. That would put Toshiba in the odd place of leading the market in a format that killed its own HD DVD.
