Asus Offers K-Series Notebooks with Splashtop Software

Asus has announced that its new Splashtop instant access software is now being offered on its new K50 series of notebook computers. The Splashtop software provides users with instant access to key software like the web browser, email, and video.

The notebooks that the software will be included on are the K40C and the K50C along with models like the K40IJ and the K50IJ. I have used notebooks from Asus in the past that feature Splashtop and didn’t see that much value in it for my needs.

The boot up is instant, but in a minute or so, you can be into the real operating system of the notebook. I found that the Splashtop typically had me wanting to do something else with the computer and I had to boot into the real OS anyway.
