While rumors of iPods and iPod touches equipped with cameras have been flying around for months now, we've yet to get any firm confirmation. Most of the tech world has accepted that the next generation of iPods will come with cameras based on the pervasive nature of the rumors alone. Despite that fact, we're still on the look-out for hard information about the upgrade.
Well, today we might just get our wish. A whole bunch of photos of cases for the next generation iPods and iPhones, manufactured in China, have leaked onto the Internet. All of these cases have openings for a camera. This means that either the manufacturers have no idea what they're doing and just randomly slapped camera holes on cases, or that we've finally got some solid confirmation of the camera rumor.
I can't imagine any of these manufacturers would have begun production (or even design) without having clear guidance from Apple about just what the new Touch is going to look like. The only reasonable explanation is that the case manufacturers have access to the new specs, and they've built their cases accordingly.
