Garmin Pilot My-Cast for iPhone

Garmin has announced a new application for iPhone users that are pilots. The Pilot My-Cast for Garmin app for the iPhone is now available. The app gets information on weather from the National Weather Service, Environmental Canada, and the FAA.

The three major sources of weather data make the data as up to date as you can get. The core of the app is the aviation weather offering and the app has a new feature with METAR and TAF bubble map displaying current and predicted weather.

The app also provides NEXRAD Radar, METARs, and TAFs in text and graphic formats. Also featured in the app are standard terminal routes, standard instrument departures, and Victor and Jet Airways designed to aid in planning flights.
