The E-Reader market is about to have two new surprise entrants. The service manuals for two new Sony Readers, the PRS-300 and PRS-600, have just leaked to the Internet. The first new reader, the 300, is a 5” non-touchscreen gadget with 440 MB of storage and...well, pretty much nothing else. The PRS-300 is definitely going to be a 'budget' E-Reader, and I'd be highly surprised to see this thing come in at more than $100.
The PRS-600 is a slightly beefier machine. It's got a 6” touchscreen, audio output, SD/MS, and 380 MB of storage. The 600 should run you around $200 at the most, and should make a solid budget choice over the Kindle. Both models will be available in silver, red, and black. No news as to price or release date have come out yet.
