There are lots of motorsports and other sports activities where it's beneficial and just plain cool to have a video of the event. One of the best way for some sports is to get a helmet cam like the new Tachyon XC for 2010. The latest edition of the XC helmet camera features improved light gathering capability, a remote control, and the longest battery power recording life of any camera on the market.

The camera is good for 12 hours of recording on one set of batteries. The XC can also be integrated into an affordable 3D video and still camera. Mounting equipment comes with the camera to mount it to the dash of a vehicle, helmet, goggles, and more.

The camera also features a time-lapse mode that allows the camera to run for 10 days of recording on a single 32GB SDHC card. The camera retails for $179.99 and the 3D camera system with two of the XC cameras, a 3D mount, and 3D glasses along with the software needed sells for $379.99. The two camera packs are available for pre-order now and will ship no later than September 16th.
