Logitech is certainly well known for its mice and keyboards as well as the gobs of other products the company produces. Logitech has announced two new mice today that both feature the slick unifying receiver and new Darkfield laser tracking technology.

The ominous sounding Darkfield tech allows the mice to track on any surface including clear glass that is at least 4mm thick and other high gloss surfaces. The two mice are the Logitech Performance Mouse MX and the Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX. The Anywhere Mouse is a notebook-sized mouse that ships with a carry pouch while the Performance MX is a desktop sized mouse.

Logitech says that its research shows that 40% of homes have glass surfaces and other shiny surfaces like granite where typical mice can’t track. With people moving around the home a mouse that can track on these surfaces is required for many users. The Performance Mouse MX is available for $99.99 and the Anywhere Mouse MX sells for $79.99, both will ship this month.
