Bose claims that the new set are the quietest headphones that it has ever produced. The QC15 headphones offer new advances in active and passive noise cancellation and work in louder environments across a wider frequency range.
Bose placed mics for the active noise cancellation feature inside and outside the ear cup and the electronics in the headphones are better, allowing the sensing and adjustment of sound on a moment-by-moment basis. The new ear cushions also improve passive noise cancellation.
