Microsoft just announced the rumored price-cut for the Xbox 360 Elite. To match the price of the Sony PS3 Slim, the Xbox 360 Elite is now selling for $299.
The Xbox 360 Pro console will now be priced at $249.99 reflecting a price reduction of $50, while supplies last. The Xbox 360 Arcade still stays at the $199.99 price. Microsoft is killing off the Xbox 360 Pro. So just go for the Xbox 360 Elite, when you decide to jump now on the Xbox platform.
Microsoft also makes a point in their Xbox 360 Price-cut announcement that the Xbox 360 you buy today will work with code-named Project Natal and controller-free gaming in the future.
Buy your cheaper Xbox 360 on Amazon.com starting this Friday.
