I just watched the hands-on video of the Nokia N900 that Nokia published and the Nokia N900 looks to be a solid new contender in the smartphone sector.
I called for dropping mobile only OSes in a report two years ago. Palm dropped theirs a couple months ago with the also Linux-based WebOS. Now Nokia offers a Linux smartphone with impressive hardware specifications.
Nokia says that the N900 is offering Desktop like experience and they even give you a mouse cursor.

More details, photos and videos about the Nokia N900 in our first report.
