Microsoft announced last week the $100 price cut for the Xbox 360 Elite to match the Sony PS3 pricing. Since Friday you can buy the Xbox 360 Elite for $299.99 on Amazon.com, but apparently nobody really waited for Microsoft to cut the price on the Xbox 360.
The Sony PS3 Slim has been topping the Video games sales charts for days, while the new lower priced Xbox 360 Elite is still even behind the Wii at rank 15. See the Video Games Top seller list for yourself on Amazon.com.
True, the Sony PS3 Slim is entirely new, where the Xbox 360 Elite has been available before. Still, the $100 price-cut is substantial and it should have at least fueled a sales boost that takes it beyond the Wii. Did you buy the Xbox 360 Elite yesterday? If yes, please comment below.
