Facebook 3.0 Is Here

It's about time. If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, your Facebook apps can finally get the upgrade they so badly need. Facebook 3.0 is out (thanks, Boy Genius) and ready to be downloaded from the App Store at your earliest convenience.

With 3.0 we still don't have push notification for Facebook (that won't come 'till 3.1) but this update does bring a slew of other useful changes. Now you'll be able to write and read notes, see your friends' birthdays, upload videos and folders, visit links via a built-in browser, make friend requests, and much, much more.

If you still haven't made the upgrade, you can nab it here. Enjoy the new features, and try not to pine too much for 3.1. Being behind the curve on push notifications is the price you pay for owning an iPhone.
