Apple has invited us to a Media Event titled It's Only Rock and Roll tomorrow September 9th. For some reason the rumors leading up to the event are not really reaching the hype level of former events.
The rumors we have heard and reported about up to now are about new iPods with video cameras. This is neat, but I already have that in my pocket. It is called the iPhone 3GS.
There is maybe more potential in what has been called Cocktail and the potential introduction of iTunes 9 with social features. Still, I have a hard time believing that this will blow my mind.
The Apple Tablet has pretty much moved for everybody into 2010 and will not be unveiled tomorrow at the Apple Music Event.
Some have guessed that Beatles songs are on iTunes tomorrow, but the only sure thing is that the Beatles Rock Band ships tomorrow.
So what is left? Of course lots of people ponder if Steve Jobs will be back in front and lead the Apple event. It was more entertaining when Steve Jobs did the events, so I look forward to having him back doing his show.
Back to the iPod. It was once Apple's biggest earner. A camera integration will not do the trick to get every iPod owner (basically all mankind) to go and buy a new iPod. There needs to be a new iPod music experience that could do that. Will Apple unveil a new unique portable music experience tomorrow? Update: September 9th Apple Event brought many announcements.
