Apple Dropped iPod Prices Before Event

Buy iPod touch from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

We have been waiting for the Apple Store to go offline, instead Apple dropped the prices of the current iPod line.
The top of the line iPod touch 32GB is now selling for only $279 - it was $399 on the Apple Store! Still as long as the new iPods are not announced yet, I do not think anybody will buy the new lower priced iPods just yet.
Let's see what Apple is unveiling in a couple of hours at the media event.
The iPod price-cut could mean many things. Of course it makes the Zune HD look less like a bargain and it makes room for higher capacity iPods, like the rumored 64GB iPod touch.
