If you're Italian, you can feel free to leave and go pre-order your Nokia Booklet 3G right this minute. According to Boy Genius Nokia Italia is the first region that the booklet has come available for pre-order in. This means that we're very close to seeing Nokia roll their new netbook out in other markets as well.
Unfortunately, it also means we can look forward to agonizingly high prices in all of those markets. The (adjusted) price of the Booklet in Italy comes out to $1,021 USD. Considering most netbooks of comparable power to the booklet sell for $400-$500, that's a bit of a stretch. Prices do differ by region, and I doubt that Nokia will try to charge more than $800 for this product in the U.S.
That said, even $800 is a little insane for a gadget like this. A big part of the allure of netbooks is that they are very cheap machines. For $800-$1000 you could also get a top-of-the-line CULV notebook that packs twice the power of this little Booklet. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
